Amp Search

I am looking for a combo amp that is not crushing loud or at least have a good master volumes. I play lots of different locations in size and need something flexible. Here is what i am looking for. An amp with a great big clean sound like a fender in one channel so that i can play good old country music and praise and worship at my church. Then channel two needs to be a higher gain channel so i can pull off rock and modern country. No metal or hard core rock going to be played here. I am really having a problem finding an amp that fits the big clean with another channel with what i described so i am hoping you know the amp that i am talking about. Thanks.

KUSTOM 36 COUPE! this amp is great for small and big venues. i play mine at church 2! it has a clean and distortion channel! check out the 36 coupe!

I have been gigging a Rivera Chubster 40 for about 7 years now. I gig 3 to 4 nights per month and cover everything from the clean sounds of Creedence to the crushing crunch of Stone Temple Pilots. My Rivera Chubster 40 does an awesome job of it. At $1200 for a 40 watt, 1 x 12 combo, some people might baulk, but it's the best $1200 I've ever spent. It gets the job done. Period.

+1 on the Rivera Clubster 40. Versatile, good overdrive without excessive noise, very solid build quality. Also fairly light weight, a plus when you have to lug an amp around a lot.

I have thought about Rivera, but i don't know. I like really simple amps, but i might enjoy a rivera.

Dr.Z MAZ 18 Jr. Or, if you don't mind spending another grand check out the Louis Electric website for the KR-12 and listen to the sound samples. Tone to die for and really fits your needs for versatility, and has a master volume for quieter operation. The Dr.Z is really hard to beat for the money though. Another suggestion might be an Allen Accomplice or other low powered Allen.
