Help!!

Hope someone can help with this:

I have a new 65 Deluxe Reverb that makes a loud Tick, tick, tick noise whenever I have the tremolo on. It makes no difference if the Guitar is plugged in or not. Does anyone have any idea what's going on, it's driving me up the wall.

Thanks

Geezer..

Take it to a amp tech and have a once over. I played I Vibro king not too long ago and it did the same thing on the tremolo

My Blues Jr had a tick-tick-tick that was annoying.

I realized that it got loudest when I leaned closer to the neck... the cell phone in my shirt pocket was giving off a signal from the digital clock. I put the phone on the table and the amp stopped ticking . I've heard that wrist watches also can do it.

Cell phones certainly do make an amp click... I'd suggest taking it to an amp repair guy.

Could be a few things, most not too complex and not too expensive. Don't stress out too badly about it - a look-over at a local shop will get you back truckin'

It may be able to be fixed by moving the trem circuit wires away from the PI input lead. A .1 cap paralled with the 10m resistor was the factory authorized fix for this problem in SF amps. You might want to take this info to the tech. Of course the first thing you do is change the tube... simply swap V1 and V4.
