New amp has shipped!!!!
I ordered a Trainwreck Liverpool from Ceriatone and just got my confirmation email from Nik that it has shipped. I've built a head cabinet for it and recovered an Avatar 4x12 pushing a pair each of vintage 30's and greenbacks. The cab and head both need the black protective corners, but are pretty much all ready for the amp to be installed. It's been 5 years since my last amp, when I built my 18watter from a GDS kit, so I am pumped up to say the least!!

Five years? You have will power! I ordered all of the parts for a 5E3 before I even finished my 18 Watt.
You should have it soon. DHL got my chassis to me from Nik in about 5 days. I've had orders from two states away take longer than that. Enjoy. |

It wasn't will power, it's just that the 18watter is SO GOOD there just wasn't any desire to change, not until I heard a wreck. I'm still keeping the 18 as we just have too much history together.

the best place to start is at the mecca of trainwreck info http://ampgarage.com/forum/ there are a number of sound files there and if you read the threads they often link to other sites that have files available. here are 3 files that sound great! http://users.zoominternet.net/~jdhal...n%20pickin.mp3 http://users.zoominternet.net/~jdhal...r%20chords.mp3 http://users.zoominternet.net/~jdhal...dge%20lead.mp3 |

I have posted many clips and videos over the years on the web of my original Trainwreck amps. Mostly with a 2x EL34 Express, but some with a 4x EL84 Liverpool too. These amps are VERY rare, and sadly most of them these days are being put away as collectables and not being played.
I just put a listing here in the classified section "CDs for sale" which has more info... (hopefully I'm not violating any rules here, just responding to a question) WEBMASTER EDIT: YOU ARE VIOLATING ALL THE RULES OF THE PAGE AND HAVE BEEN BANNED. It was some of your clips and posts that cemented my purchase of a clone wreck, and for that I really appreciate what you have done.
My "wreck" is going to used for gigging. It's a sad thing to think that amps such as what you have are so valuable as collectors items that most guitar players don't have a clue what they are or the glorious tones they make. I played a couple of your clips for a good friend of mine who is a killer player and his jaw dropped at what he heard. I'm not sure who's more anxious for it to arrive now, him or me!
