Franken-Fender

Does my '68 Bassman with a custom open-back 2X10 combo-cab count? I put in Jensen RI C10Q's with a tricked out AB165 complete with blue sparkle grill cloth, F-plug and Fender Logo. Sounds great! I know some people on this page don't go for the Jensen sound, but with this amp, for the sound I'm looking for these speakers are it. A friend did the circuit mods a little at a time till it sang. My best all-purpose amp! One channel for clean Fendery tone, the other (bass instument) for a big, rockin', power crunch. It's 2 amps in one! Just use an A-B-Y switch.

How about an early '80s BF Vibrochamp that looks stock from the front, but has a 50w Mesa OT, a Seymour Duncan Convertable PT, a pair of RCA 6L6s, 3 12AX7s with a hotrodded Marshall type preamp pumping out a healthy 45watts... Just enough knobs for 3 band eq and master volume! Talk about a tight squeeze in the chassis! Truely a wolf in sheeps clothing!

My main amp right now is a 35w cathode-biased EL34 amp based on the Matchless Clubman. I also have my Champ on the work bench reworking it completely (it will have a EF86 input stage), and also have been working on a 1.5w nano-amp as well.

Fenshall Pro Jr.

Tweed PJ cab, speaker, chassis, and iron with single channel Marshallesque 18w turret circuit board. This little screamer is my "grab and go" choice and never fails to make jaws drop when it's cranked, especially through an extension cab.

Tweed Fenshall PJ

Volume and tone, very pedal friendly, loves single-coils and 'buckers.

A thousand pardons to those that have seen it before.
