Anyone seen/heard the new Fender FM-65 yet?

I assume that the FM means that it is a new addition to the Frontman family? Looks like everything I need from a 1x12 combo.....has anyone heard one yet?

Haven't see it..but

Judging from the description..I can kinda figure what it's going to be like. (I'm guessing FM stands for "Fender Metal"..and not the stuff that is on your car...)I think this is aimed at the youth market,( never a happy place for Fender) but that is no sin..

1. The Drive/Distortion etc. channel probably has a good bit of gain built in to it..this is cool if you are looking to play in the "Dual Recto" style, but is some times too much to get good blues or classic rock sound.. Fender claims otherwise..worth checking out

2. the EQ should be voiced to "help" lowered tunings, and 7 string guitars..the mids will be slightly scooped..hopefuly the mid shift allows you to choose between two voicings rather than just increasing the scoop..that would be cool.

3. It will most likely be VERY LOUD..perhaps too loud to get a good sound at low levels.(bedroom practice, home recording ect.) the speaker may not beable to handle all the power (interesting mag sticker though!) , it will probably sound better through a 4X12.

There are lots of amps on the market like this..and most work OK for rehersal, loud jams, medium size gigs ect...Fender seems to have given some thought, to making this offering a little more versatile than most..and I think it will be worth checking out...the dual inputs are a positive sign, as is EQ on the clean channel..cool styling.. And I have seen some GOOD build quality in MIC amps recently..If they can bring this in for around $200 and it is as versitle as they claim they should have a winner.
