Upgrading a Pro Junior.
I am getting ready to build a pine cabinet for my Pro Jr. I am looking for some advice on replacing the speaker. Would you go with another 10" or seeing I am building a new cab would it be better to go with a 12"? What kind for either? Also do anyone know where I can get any info on applying tweed to a cabinet? Thanks lexx9

Alot of guys over at the Fender forum know alot about this process. FWIW, there is a company that sells pine 1x12 Tweed cabinets ready to accept a Pro Jr chassis. You might wanna check that out; its like $250 or something I think.

I think the PJ with a 12" would sound ferocious. $275 for a tweed 1X12 cab seems step to me, but then again I can build my own.
As for a speaker, I'd drop Ted over at Weber a line and get his opinion. I think it would be pretty nice to have a ten inch and 12 inch cab ready to go on practically a moments notice. |

I've hooked my PJ up to a 2x12 closed back cabinet loaded with a pair of greenbacks.
Talk about thick tone. I thought it sounded pretty good. I know some folks don't think the greenbacks work well with this amp, but for what I was doing, it sounded great. |
