HELP! buzz...

I have a Roland GC-405 (4 five inch speakers) practice/small gig solid state amp. Occasionally it buzzes at certain pitches, for instance one session it might be the D, next time F#, but only at bassier levels (lower strings). The way it happens it the buzz starts with the picked note, and then decays with the note. It will do it on open strings and different guitars the exact same way, so its not frets or the guitar. sounds just like BAD fret buzz. I checked the speaker and everywhere I could (short of disassemby) for looseness and everything is tight.

Any ideas?

Cheers
Matt

I'd bet something in or on the cab is loose. Even check the namebadge. I saw someone go ape over a Dean bass map that buzzed, pulled it apart tightened everything and it turned out the name on the front had resonance...
