Vibro_Champ Faceplates
I have a '69 VC. Ijust got it out of the shop. Had to have a new output Transformer. It was given to me by my father-in-law. Someone replaced the slide switch witha toggle switch. I bought a new switch from Fender, but the hole that was drilled for the toggle switch is larger than the original covered. Can you still get faceplates for these. The amp sounds great. I've also been reading about changing the speaker. It has the original Fender Special Design speaker. Part#.023044. If I change the speaker, will I have an increase in volume? Thanks..

go to www.angela.com for the faceplate and look into a weber sig speaker. they are cheap and will give you a better sounding and louder champ. www.webervst.com

Thanks. I checked Angelas. They had two faceplates, but neither one was like mine. I looked at Webers site, but will need a part number. I think I saw a number in another posting. I'll go through them and find it. Thanks again.

sorry about that. i was trying to reply in a hurry before i went to work. i didn't even think about the vibro in your champ. to be honest, outside of angela having faceplates i don't really know of any others. i think maybe rodgers can make them. http://www.rodgersamps.com/ (this is the link from the weber board but i can't seem to open it. mabye the page is down right now). there is also someone on ebay who ocationally offers faceplates. i've never dealt with them. just have seen them for sale.
speaker - for the signature series there isn't a part number. now you can spend more and get one of his other 8" speakers but to be quite honest, his sig series is great stuff (especially for the price). here's the link to his sig series page http://www.webervst.com/store/sigord.htm and here's the link to his vintage 8" speakers. http://www.webervst.com/store/v8.htm hope that's a little more help.
