I've had and used one for years and it's my favorite. I've had a lot of Fenders and others over the last 30+ years and I'll probably stick with this one. Some don't think it has enough headroom for clean and loud plaing, but I don't play that loud anymore so it works fine for me.

I tried on a few times but I thought that it was alittle on the noisy side...soooo I opted fer thr DRRI...less headroom but I'm doing blues anyway and the less head room gives me better break up at lower volume and I don't really need any pedal unless I want to saturate a solo.....it still has a nice kinda clean sound but in blues...ya ain't clean anyway...even clean is dirty....don

i have a 99 version with weber p190q speakers, sounds pretty good to me...they can be noisy, but, it seems most of the hiss can be remedied with a change of tubes...there is very detailed info on this amp at FDP, under the heading of vibrolux club...in the current amps section...
