Hey - this is easily the most friendly and helpful board on the net - or if not, then it's definitely in the top two. I don't have a lot of posts because any time someone has a problem, five people have offered suggestions on how to fix it before I can read it! :P

Sounds excellent. Nearly perfect. I can't wait to get some clips up, probably in a day or two.

The 1M resistor was crossing with ground on the jacks.
Here is a diagram:

Such a small mistake. :(

After much delaying, I finally recorded some tones with this bad boy.
http://www.soundclick.com/bands/song...songID=5299116
Pretty much everything in that song was recorded using the Tweed Deluxe with a '52RI Tele. SM57 into Protools.

http://www.soundclick.com/bands/song...songID=5284566
Theres a straight clip of the deluxe using a tube mic from a distance. Sorry for the bad playing, it was one take and I sort of made of what I was playing as I went. Plugged into bright channel. Bright volume is dimed. Normal volume is at about 12:00, tone dimed. It starts out on tele neck, 1/2 volume on guitar. Then, tele bridge, 1/2 volume. After that neck at full volume and then bridge at full volume.

:)

Sounds like a Tele into a 5E3. A perfect combination. Congrats. When I plugged into mine for the first time, my eyes did this then my mouth did this and now whenever I play any other combination I look like this

Righteous! I considered this amp and guitar combo to be a one trick pony at first. However, it is all I use now. I can go from perfect cleans to down and dirty dirt with my guitar knob. Here is a quick review of the Weber kit if anyone is interested:
Everything was supplied correctly, nothing left out. Plenty of wire to work with. However, a couple of problems. Bad PT, as I said earlier, however, a new one was promptly sent to me as soon as I contacted Weber. Also, the 12AX7s he supplied were absolute ****. They made the amps squeal and shriek. I spent a long time trying to find wire errors, until I popped in 2 12ax7s from my Hot Rod Deluxe and the amp shined away. So, if you are going to get a Weber, factor into your price range getting some JJs or comparable, and have them ready. It always sucks when the amp works but the tubes don't and you have to wait for them to arrive.
