Blues Jr. Reverb Problem - SOLVED!

Thanks for the advice regarding the new Blues Jr. I bought for my son. The reverb didn't work and I decided to take it back. The store didn't have another Blues Jr., so I upgraded to a Deluxe! In the end, we got an amp that is more powerful, has many more features, comes with pedal and cover, and sounds great. This amp should serve my kid well for quite a while.

But here's what I really like about this deal: I decided to check out the amps at my local vintage shop - they carry new Fender stuff as well as a large selection of vintage gear. I've been doing business with them for many years and have purchased at least three guitars and three amps from them. I try to buy most of my project parts, strings and supplies from them, too. In return, for the past few years, they have been giving me a fairly nice discount - at least the amount I might pay at the local GC or online. They help me with technical stuff and give me good, honest advice. So when I decided to go with a new Fender amp, I went there. In the end, I got the Deluxe for about $60 more than GC was asking for the Blues Jr.

I fell pretty good about doing business with these guys. I think I've been a good customer, but they have also been an extremely good shop. My kid is ecstatic with his new amp, and I feel like I was treated very well.

And the advice from the people on this board is invaluable - THANKS!

Dean

Give them a plug !

Go on, tell us the name of the shop! It sounds like a good place, they've done right for you. I don't think there is a rule against naming a good shop on the board.
