Cab/speaker opinions wanted
Okay, I have almost always played through combos, so I'm wrestling with a decision on an extension cab and I always get great feedback from this forum.
I've had a Winfield "Winfield" amp head for a few months now. It's sort of an early Marshall clone that can be switched to 18 or 30 watts. This amp is incredible...gets every bit of a Marshall tone you'd want and more. I'm currently playing it through a little cab with one 12" Eminence Legend GB128 in it. That speaker is designed to sound like a Greenback. It sounds really good through that speaker, but can get a little boxy sounding at upper volume. I'm considering a new cab and am trying to decide between an Avatar 2X12 with a pair of Hellatone 30's (artificially broken in G12H's), or an Earcandy ported 1X12 with an Eminence Wizard. Both are priced about the same. Seems this amp would achieve tonal bliss with a pair of G12H's. But the Wizard is based on the G12H too and from everything I've heard may possibly be the best speaker made right now. Either way I'm sure it'd sound good, but I'm wondering if the 1X12 would sound boxy and be limited compared to the 2x12 cab. The Earcandy ported cabs have a pretty good rep though for sounding "big". I like the portability of the 1X12 too. Any experience with these cabs? Opinions?

Mixing a Hellatone with a Red Fang is a thought too. Thanks
