Help identifying Eminence Legend speaker

Picked up my 2x12 yesterday, just want to identify what the speakers are really. All I know is that they are Eminence Legends of some kind. I looked on the eminence site and they say the magnets have a rubber boot covering the model name.. however I dont think my speakers have this rubber boot. If anyone could post a pic of what this rubbet boot should be like, it'd be great.

Also, the cab has 2 input jacks, but arent labled. To test each one to see whcih ohmage they are do I just put a cable in and measure the ohmage/resistance on the jack that isnt plugged into anything? I've read that is what you have to do but I'm just making sure.

If there isn't a rubber boot don't worry about it. On the outside circumference of the magnet there should be some writing. It will list the model #

Plug a cable into one jack, then measure the resistance accross the jack. That is put one lead on the tip, the other lead on the ground.

If you find the speker model #. Eminence puts the impedence as the last two digits. For examole: 1058 is a model 105 8 ohms. 12516 is a model 125 16 Ohm. BTW, the first two digits indicate the speaker size 125 is a 12". 105 is a 10"

Two speakers in parallel, halve the impedence of one speaker and you get the total load. In series, double the impedence of one speaker.

Parallel, the speaker wires are connected thus: positive side. in to (+) connected to second speaker P likewise ground to (-)

series: in to (+)then (-) connected to second speaker (+) Second speaker (-) connected to ground.

Weird. Dont have any number on it other than Ky 40019 on the Legend sticker, which isnt an eminence model as far as I know.. I've emailed eminence to see if they can help..

Oh yeah. I plugged in my V-Amp 2 into both inputs (figured theres no way to harm a digital modeller by plugging that in with the wrong load) and it turns out that each speaker has its own jack, so to have the sound coming outta 2 you need 2 speaker leads. Not a problem really but it solves the question about what if 2 jacks are plugged in does the ohmage change I guess!

You can't safely connect the Behringer V-Amp 2 directly to the speakers. It is just a digital preamp designed to run to a power amp, and then to your cabinet. You will fry the V-Amp, and/or your speakers if you continue trying to amplify your cabinet with it.

Oh right, well everything seems ok still so far, but I wont do it any more. Just need to measure the ohmage of each input then.

The model # won't be on the sticker, Look on the outside rim of the magnet.

I have done, nothing on there.. I hope I'm looking at the right bit. The grey metal rim around the back of the speaker?

Ok bit of an update. Looked at the bottom speaker to see if it was labled. Turns out its not a legend, but an Eminence Beta 8ohm. So I plugged into the what I thought was the bottom speakers input, with the 8 ohm out from my Fender and for some reason the sound came from both speakers, wheras with the v-amp it came from just the bottom one when plugged into the same socket.

Sounds AMAZING! With rat pedal going into the fender its much clearer than before. I will still get a multimeter to check but I'm thinking this ones an 8 ohm input as it didnt sound bad/damaged, and didnt harm my fender in any way. Although I did have my fenders speaker still plugged in so I dont think theres any way I coulda damaged it because it still woulda had a load.. if that makes sense?
