Impedance?

When it's time to get a 2 x 12 for my Champ, this is the one I've considered the most lately: http://orangeamps.com/cabinets/2x12/

An Orange... with Vintage 30 Celestions.

Since this cab is 16 ohms, would I have impedance issues running this from a Champ? I'm clueless on the whole compatibility thing so if there's a link somewhere here or elsewhere with an explanation for idiots, please point me in the right direction.

I'm definitely way more retarded than Johnny Crash.

A Champ wants a 4 ohm load. But you're in luck, two 12" 8-ohm speakers can be wired either in series to get 16 ohms, or in parallel to get 4 ohms.

So you can rewire it to work!

Here's some good info (scroll down a little ways to get impedance info):

I'm glad Tim's so smart. "Ohm" discussions always make my head hurt...

I'm way more retarded than Johnny Cash's dog...

Heck, I'm not smart. Merely old! Spend enough time online on guitar bulletin boards, and eventually, like me, you'll absorb information too!

Cheers, Tim
