Vox DA5 Owners!
I don't know why Vox changed the names of all the models on the DA5 (they aren't the same names as on the Valvetronix amps). So I asked them what the names on the DA5 correspond to in the Valvetronix series. They replied that the models are the SAME MODELS as in the Valvetronix series, the AD15VT to be precise, so I went about making a little "chart" so you know what's what instead of guessing...
The only thing that strikes me as weird is the Blues 1/Blues 2 settings...I'd swear they are reversed... Blues 2 sounds warmer & tweedier to me... They said the amp models on the DA5 corresponded exactly to those on the AD15VT, so here goes: DA5 / AD15VT / AMP Modeled Clean 1 / Boutique Clean / Dumble Steel Stringer Clean 2 / Black 2x12 / Fender Twin Reverb Blues 1 / Tweed 4x10 / Fender Bassman Blues 2 / AC15 / AC15 Blues 3 / AC30TB / AC30TB Crunch 1 / UK 70’s / Marshall Plexi Crunch 2 / UK 80’s / Marshall JCM 800 HiGain 1 / UK Modern / Marshall JCM 900 HiGain 2 / Nu Metal / Mesa Boogie Rectifier HiGain 3 / US HiGain / Soldano Drive / Boutique OD / Dumble Overdrive Special
