lights for shop space

i was wondering what sort of lighting the amp builders / tinkers use in there "workspace" ? i use a 4 ft flouresant {sp?} and i was woundering if i,m getting line noise from it, thru the amp , when i am using my o-scope and audio gen. i,m looking for an led replacement system i can rig up if anyone has any ideas , fire away .

You could always get one or more of those multi-bulb bathroom lights with the big round bulbs and mount them on the ceiling instead.
