roland cube 30

Hello

I was just wondering if anybody had tried the roland cube amp and would it
be any good for some twangy country sounds.I'm looking for something fairly
cheap and reliable. My mate had a jazz chorus many years ago and it was
a lovely sounding amp so perhaps it might be okay.

any views out their good or bad?

cheers
Tam

I had a Roland Cube 30, for about 6 months. It is light and reliable. The clean sounds, were better than the high gain, so it's pretty good for twangy country. The Vox Valvetronix sounds better to me, but they are heavier and less reliable. I have a Vox Pathfinder 15R, that I like better. I recommend that you try them side-by-side, before buying.

I've got the 60 -- and it is pretty much all I use. There's a bit of twang in there for sure. Mine keeps chuggin' with no problems, and me a like a no problems. :-)

Vox vs. Cube

Cube has one fourth the mass.
Maybe...I mean maybe... a tad less tone.
Huge sound, small light box, very compact.
Most wont believe what comes out of that little wonder....
