I am sort of at a loss as to why no one can mass-produce a small PTP Champ-type amp for around $200. Sure, they have to be hand-wired but there are so few components in there, I would think that it could be done. I think something like this would sell well especially with the ease of modding that PTP provides.

i dunno, i don't think there is a hole in the market myself....
i've heard some great tones come out of various solid state amps ..... and of course, the pro juniors, champs, little gibsons, old silvertones, magnatones, kays, montgomery wards, etc etc etc there's a ton of small amps suitable for living room jamming....and many of them sound great. but it seems that most of the time when people say they are searching for a 'living room' amp, they really want something more.
