Fave Amp OTHER Than Fender

I assume that everyone's fave amp here is likely a Fender (hey, I love them too, but my fave amp is my Marshall JCM 2000 DSL 50). So, setting Fender amps aside, what is YOUR fave and why? I like my Marshall because it's got the classic Marshall crunch, great clean tones and it's very versatile. And oh yeah, it ROCKS!!!

I still like my Laney ProTube 100/Marshall cab. Not too clean, but it sounds great and really moves some air.

Dr Z for me. Maz 18 or 38 combos are great. Seems to combine the best sonic elements of Fender, Marshall and Vox amps.

Vox AC30

of course the other guitar besides a Tele would be a Gretch 6120 or a Rick 12 string.

My mid-1980s Marshall JCM 800 1x12 combo. Just wish I could play it louder!!! They aren't all that until you let the tubes run a little. Keeping it down is hurting us both. Oh well. Most of the time I have to use the Roland Cube 30. Cool, but it's not the same.

Bedrock 1200 head through a MESA vertical 212 recto cab.
It's as close to the holy grail that I've found in my 30 yrs. of playing.
Tone heaven......

Another Dr Z user here...first choice is my Carmen Ghia, then my Maz 38 Studio Deluxe. I also have a Crate V3112, Trace Elliott Velocette and a Pro Jr. They're all cool amps.

I like my Vox AD50VT. So much that I got the 15 watter to practice with at home. But I'm really Jones'n for a large Boutique amp of some sort.

I have been loving my Reverend Kingsnake along the side of my Fender Bandmaster. Sometimes (usually outdoor gigs), I take my Kingsnake and my Marshall DSL 2000 half stack out. I have yet to play a gig with all three. I bet it would be fun .

I think you need Dr. Z on that list...

Those Z's were built for the Tele, IMHO.

Z for me too - like that's any big secret.

The Mesa Boogie MkIII 100w Simul Class head I had built for me back in the late '80's.The tone of the Gods. The most unbelievable amp I have ever played through.Ever.

My wife has specific instructions. When they lower me down into the hole, that head will be in the box with me.

My work amp is a Line 6 Flextone III,in stero. Not a Boogie by any means, but gets the job done and if it gets swiped,I can just get another.

My early 70s Traynor YGM-3 Guitarmate. Like a cross between a Fender and a Marshall, killer clean tone, snarls when you crank it, great reverb, trippy tremelo, and it's built like a Soviet-era tank!

Cheers, Tim

After nothing but Marshalls for 20 years, I finally got a Carr Rambler. Love it. No crunch, but that just means I get to buy and test more pedals, right?
