A couple favorites . . .

There are a lot of boutique amps out there that are fabulous, and my favorite is the Savage Macht 6. Currently, I have a '67 Guild 6152 that has a wonderful, complex sound to it.

My mid-'50s Gibson GA-40 -- like a big box tweed Tremolux. Also a little 2-6v6 Supro/Valco with a 10" field coil. Fattest little amp I've heard.

i had a Dr Z Prescription (60 watts) i LOVED, but finally sold it -- too loud, never could get it up to the sweet spot onstage.

How did Gretsch get away with that 'Twin Reverb' moniker after the 'Broadcaster' incident?

I use Matamp, so solidly built and great sounding. The C7 I use can go from sounding Voxy to Tweedy, I wanna get them to build me a combo at some point, may even go for the head/cab shindig. There's no nicer company to deal with either. Hands down the best amps I've used, except maybe for Orange.

I tried some really nice Fenders and Voxs, and the Peavey delta blues is an awesome amp, but Matamp, and to a lesser extent Orange are where it's at for me tonally. They did use to be the same company at one point I'm sure. One of the best things about Matamp is that they're realisticly priced yet could easily go toe to toe with boutique amps with slightly more pretentious price tags.

Peavey, Roland, which I own. Vox, boutiques, allen, and such. Amps are like women, don't limit yourself just to the blondes. HAHA.

+1 on the AD50VT. If I could afford a tube AC30, I'd have one. Since I can't, this models it better than anything I can afford.

Several favorites right now, none Fender. Top 3 are:

'62 Twilighter 260 (same as Magnatone 260). Warm, solid cleans, not fenderlike, thick, smooth drive at higher volumes. Hypnotic vibrato adds to the appeal. A classy, distinctive sound that completely works for me.

'56 Silvertone 1336. A total surprise of an amp. Sort of tweed, with brownface soul mixed in. Big, punchy sound, way louder and cleaner than I expected, tone way out of proportion to the price.

'50s two tone Gibson GA40. What a wild, hot amp. Jump blues in a box. Has a dark, liquid sound when you crank it, sustain forever.

My Marshall JCM 2000 DSL 50 and Ampeg VL-502 rig. I also have an awesome 1984 Music Man HD150 212 combo, a Marshall AVT 50 half stack, a great little Fender Pro Jr.. a Pignose and a V-Amp 2. For years, I used an Ampeg V-4 half stack, which was killer, but without a master volume, it had to really be cranked to overdrive. My DSL and VL-502 can both get honkin' tones at reasonable levels.

Ooh, I recorded with a Savage Macht 6 a few months ago. Great amp! The best was playing lap steel, splitting its signal between the mic'd Savage for attack, and a RNC compressor direct for body and sustain. Lovely tone.

My favorite amp the past several years has been a Trace-Elliot Velocette. They're cheap, simple, and awesome. The low end is a bit soft, as EL84 Class A amps tend to be, but the mids are voiced marvelously. Somewhere between a Vox and a Marshall, really, and it takes well to most of my pedals. And the best thing is they're so light! I used to use two in stereo, and could carry them both with one arm.

Gee, no one has mentioned their Dumble.

I have a lot of amps besides the Fender's, two Mesa Boogie's (MK I RI & Studio .22+) a Rivera S120-210 and a killer Vox AC-15. But the best sounding amp I have is a Traynor Bassmaster. I run it with either a Roland Space Echo or Real Tube Reverb into a 1 X 12" cab with an EVM 12L or a 2 X 12" with Fender/Cerwin Vega PS-12's. I think I paid $150 for it. It's been re-tubed once. All the things Tim mentioned about the Guitar-Mate apply here, too.

If you mean, other than a "Fender style" amp (tweed or blackface)...for me it would be Dr.Z.

Dr Z here too. I've got a Maz 18 Jr NR 112. Some others that aren't so pricey:

Peavey Delta Blues 115. IMO the best deal on the market today. 30 watts about three hundred bucks. Great full sounding club amp.

Roland Cube 30. Great bedroom amp. Built in effects and amp modeling. I would use mine on an open mic night I used to host. With no drummer raising the db's this thing will fill up a nightclub.
