tweed amp - lacquer, shellac, wipe-on poly?
Thinking of eventually putting either lacquer or shellac on my tweed bassman reissue, as it's already pretty marked up (got it used).
I'm wondering what the best thing to use would be. I have some shellac at home (non-tinted), I also have some satin finish wipe-on poly. Or I could go to the local hardware store and get some lacquer. Which would be the best option? Also, should I use clear or amber tinted? I think that even with clear, it will end up darkening the tweed a shade when it's applied. |
