Looking for a Deluxe or Princeton Reverb
Hi All,
I am on the lookout for a Deluxe Reverb or a Princeton Reverb. Probably silverface, as I don't think I can afford anything older. Would prefer something from before the push/pull volume era. I've looked on eBay, but would prefer to look elsewhere. Anyone have any suggestions? Also, what is the power difference between a Deluxe and a Princeton? Thanks! The DR has about 23 Watts while the PR has about 12-15 WAtts. There is a difference (speakers are 12 vs. 10) but for small settings and for a good price the PR Silver Face is a gem. They are still under $900 while the DR is twice that.
Gbase is a good start---negotiate the price---those dealers come down. Look around your area if possible too---those amps are around. I bought a '75 PR in San Francsco about 2 years ago. |
