Hotrod Deville + Attenuator
Hey guys, I am thinking of buying a HotRod Deville and would like to hook up a speaker attenuator to it to keep volume levels down when playing at home.
Is there easy access to the internal speaker output jack, or it is hardwired to the electronics? My old Boogie MKIII combo has a simple 1/4" jack that the 12" speaker plugs into, making it easy to add an attenuator in between. Is the DeVille like that? I played one yesterday at the store and loved it, but forgot to look at the back. Thanks for any info! Ryan

I have a little device for my amp that plugs in between the effects send and the effects return. While not a true attenuator (it is not in line with the speaker load) it does what I need which is to drive the amp and cut down the volume. I bought it from a guy on Ebay for 15.oo because after paying for the DeVille, I was out of cash.
One other thing I like about it is when I play live. I set all the levels on the amp, and then just use this thing as a "Master" master volume. If you are interested let me know and I will get you the info as to where it came from.
