What circuit config is a 68/69 Trim Edge Deluxe reverb?
What is this? An ABWhat model or? If this is on the tube sticker, mine is slightly damaged and unreadable.
Thanks in advance.

More than likely, if it's that early in the SF era, it's probably an AB763. By that time, the power transformers had been changed. So, you're probably running a 5U4 rectifier instead of the GZ34.

Cam, check out the transformer manufacturer's date codes. These codes are the basis for the compilation of serial numbers in that link. You might also want to write down the model numbers on the trannies just to assure yourself of what is there. In short, copy all of the codes on the trannies and post them back here.

As stated in my first post
the tube chart has some slight damage and I can't read that part. But thanks anyway Paul :D .
I'm actually going to pull it apart again (maybe tonight) and do some more minor tweaks so I will check out some numbers etc.

Re: According to the Gagliano research

'605 6 37' 606---manufacturer, 6--1966, 37--37th week. (Unless you transposed the 5 and 6. In that case, the '5' would indicate a '65 transformer. That amp is an AB763 circuit, I would imagine. FWIW, DR circuits never changed that much, anyway over the years. The larger amps underwent significant changes while the small amps were kept more or less the same. As for the tube charts, they can be misleading. The early AB568 amps would carry AB763 charts that were left over. Waste not, want not was the operative thought at Fender. Cam, your amp probably has vertical black lines on the silver panel, right? |
