Strange Blues JR. Problem

The reverb on my BJ has gone goofy. There really is no "reverb" sound, just noise in the circuit. Ever use a noise gate? Know the sound it gives where it is just a little below where it should be set and some noise gets through, then dies out - that is very similar to the sound I am getting. Reverb tank is fine - anyone have an idea where the problem may be or what I should look at next?

Thanks in advance...........

Bothing specific to offer, but I would check the obvious first: check connections and solder joints to/from tank. From there, the reverb circuit in the BJ is IC driven.

I had some wierd noises coming from Blues Junior a couple months ago and my tech opened it up and fixed about 30 cold solder joints. Been perfect ever since. Might want to check the solder joints.
