Allen 5F1+ on the way
Got an e-mail from David Allen today informing me my 5F1+ chassis was sent out today. This amp is one of his 5F2 series kits but I had him wire it up for me. He also told me he put a photo of my amp on his web site to illustrate how they look wired up, which is kinda cool. This amp will run a 6L6 or EL34 power tube at 10 watts. Also ordered a 1x12 cab covered in blonde tolex w/gold grill cloth & a Eminence red, white & blues speaker. That arrived a week or so ago & looks really well made. Anyway, he says he likes this amps clean & overdriven tones. Hope I do too.

That sounds like a really sweet amp. Please let us know how you like it.
I have a Savage Macht 6, six watts Class-A from a single 6v6 through a 12" speaker. I love that amp and would love to have one where I could use either a 6L6 or EL-34. Too cool! |
