I think its ..

because, despite what some people will tell you, merely having a point to point board doesn't make it somehow magically sound "better" or be in someway more "proper" than a PCB !
It looks a bit tricky in there, if you are "going in" remember to tie a rope around yourself and tie it to the kitchen door - just in case !!

no but it makes em more reliable long term, easier to repair and much easier to modify to your own liking.

Probably. But 95% (my guess) of guitar players try out amps and buy what they want without intending to modify it later. And who cares about reliability when you're comparing price tags in the store?
