My Amp Jones is over

After much research and hands on, I settled in on a
new 65 Twin RI. Yes it's more power than I will ever
need. Yes it's heavy. No, it's not PTP but
that didnt get in the way of that yummy clean
tone. It's all the amp I'll ever need. I am happy the
search is over.

Jeff

It's tough enough going on the "perfect" guitar quest. It helps alot when you find the amp or amps that suit your needs best. Then when you look for that "perfect" tone guitar it helps when trying to weed out the inferior ones.
In my case I was fortunate to find an amp that sounded great clean (Soldano ROS 2X12) and great overdriven. I still wanted something though that loved HB's so I got the old reliable Peavey 5150 1/2 stack. My amp search has been over for about 10 years now. One problem solved!

They do...

...sound real good. I've played a few and they are nice. Simple speaker and tube upgrades (with an obvious biasing) can help out the tone immensely. If you like it stock, you're lucky. Enjoy!

Thanks

I toted that trusty 52 AVRI to nearly every house of
ill-repute (music store) within 200 miles of Kansas City
and played so many different amps, it would take to long to list.

It's strange how certain guitars and amps
work well together. I played other teles in the stores
against mine with the amp and it just amazes me how
the same model guitars sound completely different through the same amp.

For some reason this amp likes my guitar
and who am I to keep them apart?

Thanks
Jeff
