CRAZY!!!

But wouldn't it be cool to own if it could be conclusively documented?

Like maybe for a tenth that price - a relic for the corner of your music room.

23 hours to go, and still no bids. Are you surprised?

I bet it doesn't sell. The seller seems to be not motivated.

Tremo, I would think that the seller is highly motivated...in his search for Paul Allen, right? Maybe Mr. Allen needs another Showman cab for the Seattle museum? I can't see anyone else needing to put that much money into this piece.

I can't even see the Exp Hendrix museum spending close to $40 large US for the thing. The price is unrealistic for a collector or even a museum, IMO. Hence my belief that the seller is not motivated. If he was motivated, he wouldn't be asking *that* much. He's trying to sell it on fleabay for crissakes. I suspect he's already spoken to the museum and they turned him down at that price. I've been to that museum, it's run like any other business.

22 hours to go and still no bids. Is "JH Exp" stenciled on the back of the cab?

Seems fair when (if it can be documented as authentic!) since his strat's sell for 6 figures whenever they come up!

That said, would i splash out on it - NO!

He'd have a much better chance if it were a Marshall cab.

"You know real Hendrix stage items are climbing faster than a rocket to Mars, this price will look silly in a few years."

I don't think it's necessary to wait a few years. That price looks silly right now.

Neither that nor JHE, as far as I can tell. The Sunn amp cover is also clean.

That's unusual. They marked basically everything.

It seems as if the potential bidders are experienced. 8)

Hey Joe, it certainly wasn't Stone Free. I was too late to bid, got stuck in the Cross Town Traffic now I've got Manic Depression.
