Cleaning sound board sliders

What's the best electronic cleaner for faders and volume level'rs on sound boards.

I tried De-oxit and it cleaned the slider's well, but they are still kind of sticky. If you put pressure on the slider it slides smoothly, but not if I just push on it.

Does it need some sort of lubricant?
I know that the De-oxit has a lubricant in it.

Most sliders, if they have a plastic back, need a special lubricant/cleaner that has a grease in it. Same goes for plastic pots like you find in PV sound gear.

Otherwise a normal cleaner can melt the backing plates, which will destroy the detents.

Green?

I think I read this special grease is green? I also read that it extremely difficult to find. I worked for a DJ equipment company. There was no such thing as re-lubing a slider (fader.) Replace only.

Maybe things have changed. I would try google.

Caig Labs

I've got a sample kit of Caig products, one of them is supposed to be for exactly that application, it's worth a shot! the other products are great too.
It's called CaiLube MCL, Moving Contact Lubricant.
