Vibrolux silver face or black face ?????? 1979/1980
Hi Guy's,
I did score a 1979/1980 vibrolux this weekend and now I have a question for you. It has silver speaker cloth or grill cloth and a black control panel. What does that make it a silver face or black face? I haven't recieved it yet so can't answer allot of tecnicial questions. I did hear from one of you guy's that this was the last year before a change but what does that mean? Change from what to what? I do have transformer #'s and a serial # Thanks to all who have ansered my "best blues amp" questions. I am always amazed at the tecnical knowledge available on this site, you guy's are great, thanks again. DR

BF amps are typically thought of as those made between '63 and '67, however, they did change the cosmetics of some siliver face amps around 1980 to have the BF era look. I've seen Twin Reverbs, Vibrolux Reverbs, Pro Reverbs and Vibro Champs like this and there may have been others.
