Looks sweet!

And a decent BIN for all that quality work plus the speaker. 8)

One point though - don't you mean speaker jack? Or is it head phone capable? :?

Oh man, I really wish I had the dough right now... I've been jonesing for some sweet, low-wattage Fender vibe recently.

Oh well, someday.

The dustcap on that one looks metallic, like a JBL. Is it metallic, or is that just the lighting or something?

Forgive my ignorance......

What's the dustcap? Let me know and I'll look.

Thanks.

i can't believe it's not already bought NOW. i don't have any need for another amp, but i'm having to fight the urge to BIN this one. somebody is going to get a good deal, especially with the extra speaker thrown in, to boot.

You should also say that the 6V6s are RCA Blackplates.

(I did lust after them for a few minutes)

Why replace the caps?

Just curious... did they fail? Or was this a performance issue.

I didn't think rectifier diodes needed periodic replacement (like electrolytic caps).

That's more of a question for Winnie really. I know next to nothing about these things, but knew enough to send it to someone who does.

Also, if someone from the TDPRI uses the "Buy it Now" option, I'll pay the shipping in the CONUS.

Please PM with your Ebay name so I'll know it's you.

U R Killing me! That's exactly my first amp! I loaned it to a girl I knew years ago and lost touch with both of them. Ouch.

#1.The electrolytic caps age and should be replaced in an amp that old.

#2 The Fender Rectifier setup on this amp uses a only a pair of silicon diodes. In order to get the amp as quiet as it can be, I double the # of diodes and have a pair in series on each side, making a total of 4.

The "tune up" is essentially to replace the caps and make the amp as quiet as it can be.
