Suggestions for an amp roadcase?

I just got a Dr. Z Maz 38 a couple of weeks ago, and it's by far the nicest amp I've ever owned. Before I start gigging with it, I want to get a good road case for it. Any suggestions on where to get a good case? I'm even willing to build one if I can get all the materials needed. I can find the recessed handles/latches, casters, etc., but I can't seem to find a source for the aluminum tongue & groove valances for the edges where the top & bottom halves come together. Anyone have any ideas?

I got a case for my MAZ38 2x12 combo from these guys, it was shipped promptly, looks good, fits perfectly and works very well.

They make both 1/4 and 3/8 versions, 1/4 being fine for local type work, 3/8 probably better for major touring. I got 1/4 to save some weight.

Another vote for Angstrom, who's Ebay user name is sdaoust. They're the same quality as Anvil and A&S, only they cost way less, even with Canadian shipping.

However, I'd suggest that you go with a Tuki padded cover if you move your gear yourself. Road cases add a lot of size and weight, and are a backbreaker to move. Alligator cases and http://tukicovers.com/ offer great protection, but add almost no size or weight. Check out those two companies if you want to save money as well as your back.

Thanks! I'm checking out the Angstrom cases now. They do look good - especially for the $$. A good value, I think.

Unless you are touring, then a Tuki cover will probably provide the amount of protection you need. They are not just dust covers, they are also padded.

What I've found makes a big difference is the casters. Get the 4" diameter ones--it's really noticeable on rough ground (sidewalks, parking lots). Cheaper roadcases have small diameter wheels.

they are a tad cheaper than Angstrom, located outside nashville and real fast shippers. I have owned most of the big names and these are every bit as good as any case ive owned. i bought one for my fender super to check out and ended up getting them for my other amps. they stock most amps and when they have to make make one as they did for one of mine was incredibly fast. great communication too. im not affiliated with them even though this sounds like an ad,lol, but i really like my cases.
BTW ..i agree totally on the 4" casters

Thanks for the help everyone. I decided to get a 3/8" ply case from Angstrom on Ebay. It arrived today, and I'm really impressed with the quality. Couldn't be happier!
