Reverb Problems

Can anyone advise me....I have a 65 RI black face twin and in the course of one day , the reverb has died.
I have done the basic check to see if the leads are still connected, other than that, I am open to suggestions as what might be wrong.
Thanks..John.

try..

..a different pan from an amp that works. The reverb pan can sometimes get shocked hard enough (from the UPS apes or yourself bouncing the amp here to there) and break the small transducer wires-FRAGILE. If it is th epan, don't waste your time trying to repair it-BUY A NEW or USED ONE in good condition. I would go with a used pan as the springs are not as stiff and will mellow out the 'verb.

Solder needed

Its almost certainly one of those fine little wires broken. I used to carry a solder gun in my kit, and did a few repairs on stage before gigs.

I'd try repairing before dashing off to get a new unit - a lot cheaper & will last OK if you get a good job done

Could it be the reverb driver tube?

I had one go down, but it gave a funny continuous popping sound, which could be killed by turning the reverb setting back to zero.

I'd still go for one of those wires - its a ten minute job to check.
