Looks nice. Do we (i.e. on TDPRi) know this guy/Vintone?

Any thoughts on Cherry Vs Pine?

Classy, I like it. How do the BF's differ from the SF's? I didn't even know they made a BF in this amp.

In 1981 Fender went back to Blackface cosmetics for all the remaining tube amps. Amps were the same as late Silverface, although this one has been modded by the looks - they didn't have a speaker jack, and those look like slim-bottle 6V6GTAs. Could be an early one with a late faceplate.

No...the seller indicates that it is a custom "New Laser engraved faceplate". He has another auction for these faceplates. As far as I know there was never a Blackface Musicmaster Bass amp.

Obviously this amp has been modded from head to toe. Might be a heck of a player though. Certainly has the potential given the mods...if Vintone does good work.

Doug Stalters of Vintone builds incredible cabs, chassis' and amps. His work with cane grilles was all it took to get me started in that direction, pronto!
