Amp tech in the Inland Empire (SoCal)

Anyone know of a good amp tech here in the Inland Empire (So Cal).

I need to have my Gibson GA-30RV SuperGoldtone looked at.

I know of a great one in OC, but I really don't want to have to make the drive if I don't have to - I just can't seem to get it scheduled in.

Thanks a bunch in advance.

CancerLeo:

I loaned it to a friend and he used it for quite a while.

It started to make a hissing sound - very predominant. He thought it may be a power tube, so we changed 'em out. No go - in fact afterward, it didn't make any sound at all.

I opened up the bottom and found a couple of resistors that looked like they were blistered as well as a couple of small burn points (a little bigger than the ball point pen).

I don't know how to drain the caps well enough to prevent getting shocked to death - otherwise I think I could change out the resistors myself, but that won't prevent it from doing it again, since I don't know what did it in the first place.

Hope that made sense.

Unfortunately, Modesto isn't in SoCal - otherwise he'd be a great choice.

thanks a bunch.

No, I'm in Southern California - near San Bernardino/Riverside/Ontario - east of Los Angeles.
