Princeton Reverb speaker question.

I have a 73 SFPR thats been recapped, new tubes and has a Weber 10F150T in it.I think it sounds good but I dont have anything to compare it to.I have read alot about the 10F125 and was wondering if Im missing something.Could someone tell me the difference between them.I play my California tele with a SD Broadcaster and 52 Ri neck and to me the Princeton sounds a little thin on the top end.I have good bottom end but to me it sounds weak when playing chords.Sorry about the discription. Thanks for your help....

Billy, I just bought a princeton, but it hasn't come yet so I can't be of much help.

I just wanted to ask, what of Ohio are you in? Would be nice to find some TDPRI guys around.

I have a 10F125. It's more efficient and much brighter than a 10F150.

Thanks Tremo. Is it normal for a SFPR to sound a little gritty (for lack of a better word) even at low volumes. This is the speaker(10F150) Weber recommends for the Princeton but on this forum it seems that the 10F125 is highly thought of.All I have is telecasters and Ive gone thru a bunch of pickups looking for that magic tone but with this amp/speaker/guitar combo Im always sounding on the thin side.
ps. Rizo, Creston is just north of Wooster.

I have the C10Q in mine which is now called the 10F125 and I can only say it's the best guitar speaker I ever encountered, and it blows away every 12" I tried.

1965 BFPR speaker

I have changed the baffle board in my 65' PR to a 12" board and installed a Celestion V30. That is the speaker you need, you can gig with it in a small club. Great smooth sound because the PR is bright and complements the midrange of the V30. just control the treble control and you are good to go. I also installed V30's in my two 68' SFDR and get a similar sound. I have had in these amps Weber C12N's, Weber ceramic blue dogs, Celestion Blues and Red Fangs and find the V30 about the best sounding speakers for these amps. IMHO

I'm a little particular to....

...a Jensen RI P15N myself.
