Fender Amp Repair DFW Area?

Hey guys, anyone recommend a good amp repair man in the Dallas/Ft. Worth, Texas area? I have a high end "Pro Tube Series" Fender Pro Reverb that needs attention.
Thanks in advance,
Rob

Ask around at your local shops. I know a guy, but he's old, and I don't know if he still does repairs. I can give him a call.

Amp repair has always been a problem around here. Especially warranty repairs. There's one company that does warranty repair for most of the manufacturers, but their reputation is one of "Never take anything there that belongs to you". The problem amounts to the fact that amp warranties in Dallas do not exist.

Sorry.

That's who I was going to recommend, but he hasn't been well, and I don't know how much work he takes in nowadays.

Ive never used him but Craigs Music over in Weatherford has a good reputation.

Jim Russell over at Texas Guitar and Sound in Lewisville has done some work for me before and I was pleased with the outcome. He is hard to catch though...PM me if you want his number.

He worked on two of my amps last month. He also extensively restored the guts of a '54 Deluxe for my friend. The '54 had stopped working 30 years ago and was in really bad shape. Now, it is a great little amp.

I won't go as far as saying that Mr. Banks is the best guy around, but he does know his stuff. He also is still dependent on our occassional repairs as a significant source of income. Yes, he was down in his health earlier this year and the doc told him to take it easy. But not to stop completely.
