Line 6 spider II 15 watt (BAD)

I just wanted any of you out there considering toget a Line 6 Spide II amp to stay away from this. Most of my friends said it was too digital but i didn't really care..its true. Anyway it has Gain , Bass , Mids , Treble and channel Volume and Master Volume.

Pros

1)The crunch channel is my favourite channel , i can get tones from whole lotta love to Be Careful With A Fool by Johnny Winter

2)The delays good , i don't really use longg delays but this ones just nice. ( Amp inclues flanger , phazer , chorus , delay , sweep echo which i have no idea whats it for , tremolo and reverb )

3)The amp comes with 4 channels (Clean , crunch , metal and insane) I can experiment with psychedelic cleans on clean to tapping madness on insane.

4)Amp feels abit plasticy but well built.

5)The reverb is superb in my opinion but i guess its because i haven't heard otherkinds of reverb yet..it sounds rommy and spacey and very responsive.

6)Very good for playing oldies rock and roll with crunch or clean with reverb.

Cons

1)You hear the knaaaawwww gnrrr each time u go on insane or metal and hit a single note. Very irritating.

2)Tone is extremely constricted in the sense that u can only get a limited about of tones in the channel. Which means u can't get the tone u want but only something similar and related to the channel.

3)Volume must be turned to 0 before switching channels or it will "just go off in yr face" sending yr blood pressure up.

4)All the notes i whack sound very "stucked" in the amp.

5)For the metal and insane , notes sound very flaky ( see No1 of cons )

Right now i am considering the Roland Cube 30...but again i have budget problems and singapore doesn't have BOGNER amps.

Ravelle...Thanks for the review. I'm really happy with my Roland Cube 30 (and my Microcube), but sometimes wonder if there isn't something better in it's class. If there is, so far I haven't found it. If you do try out a Cube, let us know how you like it.

I can imagine your disappointment in finding that notes on "insane" sound only "flaky."
