Kendrick Speakers
I put a Kendrick Blackframe 12 in. speaker into a Fender Deluxe Reverb RI and was very pleased with how it improved the amp.
It tightened up the bottom end and made the highs much less shrill. A huge improvement over the stock jensen. |

A friend of mine has a pair of blackframe 12s in a blackface Twin. They are horrible. They have harsh, icepick highs. Now these are the OLD style blackframes, and I hear Gerrie changed the design to roll the unpleasant high end with the newer versions. These speakers are made by Credence.
Regardless, like all Kendrick stuff, they're priced through the roof. I'd go with Webers. |

I have two 10" Black frame speakers...........
I have only had them in one amp...... So My test is not complete. They sound very good to my ears. They are as good as any Ceramic I have had. I am a bigger fan of Weber's ....... and alnico ones at that. So that's my limited Experience. Pro Speakers for sure. Like alot of speakers (Example: Tele into a Twin) Speakers can get very brite .

ouch
I'm with Tremo on this. I tried a pair of early ones in a Pro Reverb and you could drill concrete with the highs. Just awful. I've not heard the new ones, but I'd stick with Webers based on past performance.
