Extenstion Cabinet Wiring

I am picking up 2-12" extension cabinet. Wanting an 8 Ohm load for this extension, is there any advantage wiring in parallel with two 16 ohm speakers versus wiring in series with two 4 ohm speakers?

- Electro-mechanically not sure..
- 4 ohm speakers, however, are hard to find in brand and type you may want

imho

I would wire 2-16 ohm speakers in parallel for 8 ohms if it were me.
