Fishman Loudbox Amp

Hi guys I've been looking around for an amp I can plug a guitar into as well as a microphone, I'm looking at doing a bit of busking. I've tried out a 30 watt Fender Acoustic but the mic channel doesn't give a good vocal sound. I also tried a Line 6 Amp (75 watt) but the tones for the guitar channel are not to my liking. But a friend has recomended a Fishman Loudbox 60 watt amp, and I was wondering if anyone on this forum has had any experience with the Fishman amp.... Slowpoke.

I have the Fishman Loudbox Performer, which is 130 watts (or 120). I like it a lot except for the fact that the top is slanted so I can't rest a drink on it.

I have the Loudbox 100. The volume and clarity and connectivity are fantastic. I have tried the Loudbox Mini (60 watts) and it's a great amp.

I have the mini and it has a very good vocal sound. A lot more volume out of the insrument channel than the vocal channel, so I would go bigger if I really needed more volume. But it is fine for low volume gigs without a drummer.

Thanks guys for the info, I was thinking about the Mini Box but I guess I'll look into the 100 watt model. I've yet to go to Perth to try out a few at Kosmic Sound but I shall keep in mind your comments.. Thanks again.... Slowpoke

Slowpoke, the loud box Mini has nice sound and is a nice compact unit. I think it's a good deal for the money.

An alternative in that size and price range that I've found useful is the Crate Limo. It's around 60 watts and has a rechargeable battery. Guitar and mic channel, one each, and some useable effects. If you don't always have juice for the busking location, it can be real handy. I've used one for years with a parking lot jam group. Many of the others use the Peavey Solo, another reliable battery choice.

Thanks guys, I actually "bit the bullet" today and bought a Fishman Loudbox Mini 60 watter and I'm very pleased with it. I shall be using a USA made 2001 telecaster and I'm happy with the sound I get. The mic channel is just perfect for my voice and style.
So I'm as happy as Larry.... Slowpoke
