Tele and Vox

I got a Tele Select a couple months ago and just purchased a Vox AC 15. I have a vintage 1965 Vox AC30 but it's so heavy for club gigs and I don't like to use it too much because it's getting on in years. Anyway, after playing in clubs Friday and Saturday nights this week, just got home, I have to say this combination of Vox and Tele is amazing. I have many other amps but for some reason these two together are incredible. Anyone else use this setup?

I bought a Vox Valvetronix VT 40+ last summer just for fun to see how all those effects work. I must say that at some point it's just to much effects. Anyway the point of this reply is that I have ac15 and ac30 options on this amp. Which settings do you use for the Teles?

Tele into Vox AC15H1TV here!

Magic happens when you crank it to full volume! Tube crunch, tone like you never thought possible!

I love placing a old TS808 into it for instant U2 tones!

I've played through an AC30 for years. My favourite amp of all time.

Anyone else use this setup?

Try everybody in England in the 60s for a start.

But yeah, my next purchase will have to be a vox amp, I love the tone!

I have an AC30 wannabe (Trainwreck Rocket clone), and it loves my Tele's and my P90 based guitars, both.

I also recently bought a pedal called the Tech 21 Liverpool (Vox emulation) for those times when I play through something I don't like so much. Set the amp clean, and let the Liverpool do its magic. Sounds great!

I have a Vox vt30. Great sounding little amp. It's great for
low volume playing too with its ability to adjust the power
output down to 1 watt.

The Holy Grail of Vox tone is supposed to be Vox/Rickenbacker. Yeah, it is good....but no way as good as Vox/Telecaster combination. The Vox/Tele combo is out of this world in so many ways.

Two pictures of some gear of mine. Picture #2 is the better tone. Nothing I have beats a Tele through a Vox.

You're from Jersey. Go see Chris from Pick Of The Ricks in Lindenwold, New Jersey. That's where I got my blue 330 from. Chris provides phenomenal service and even better prices. I really mean that. He's the premier Rickenbacker dealer for a reason.
