1964 Ampeg ReverbeRocket...soldered off the footswitch and now Vibrato doesn`t work?

Was told that I need to "to short the jack terminals to engage the Vibrato."

I have no idea what this means, as i am a newb, but I doubt this is too difficult. Can anyone provide some clarification? Thanks!!

The two points where the wires that went to the trem switch need to be hooked together. Or just put the footswitch back on and stick it in the holder inside the cab.
