A Lab L2 bass head is my main guitar amp at the moment. These amps are very nice, although this price seems steep for the USA. AFAIK the L9 is quite a heavy beast.

I still have an L7 (4x10) that I bought new way back when....also used to have an L5 but sold it back in the 90's. They are good amps with a powerful clean tone so they work very well with effects pedals. I still use the L7 in my project studio. I think the other Lab models (other than the 9) usually sell for less than the listing is asking. Like in the $400 range. Could be wrong though. That one looks like a bass amp. One thing to note- they are heavy so shipping could be pricey.

I used to have a little L3 (?) 1-12 combo and the L-200 200 watt,2x4-12 cabs.A beast! Both amps sounded really good, and the compressor sounded nice.

Had an L-9, with the EV. Rue the day I sold it and got the crappy Vegas. The Lab was stunning for both Tele and pedal steel. A SS amp that doesn't sound like a SS amp! Sounds like a clean tube amp. Wonderful design.

I have an L3 as well - the smaller 60-watt single-channel one. Lovely-sounding little amp with plenty of EQ adjustment and light in weight. I believe Dan Pearce was involved in its design.
However, with its original CTS speaker it wasn't all that loud, but I was fortunate to get hold of a new-old-stock made-in-England Celestion G12H-100 in 4 ohms impedance - hens' teeth department - for which I willingly paid more than the whole amp had cost me in the first place. With the replacement speaker the amp is transformed into a thoroughly giggable bit of kit. I don't use it all the time but it never fails to please when I do. None of this has anything much to do with the L9 on eBay, but you don't see them every day and, provided it's in good condition as described, it seems an opportunity to get a great (if physically heavy) and moderately rare amp for a not outrageous price.
