How much am I wearing on my tubes...?

I play at church every sunday. We play a 3 or 4 song set, and then i walk over and switch on the standby on my Vox AC15c1, and take a seat. Our pastor speaks for usually about 30-35 minutes, and then the band quickly returns to the stage to finish out with one song.
Am i doing a lot of damage to the lifespan of my tubes by just switching to standby instead of powering all the way off? I would just switch all the way off, but when the band goes up we start playing right away, so it would be a little awkward for me to go up there, switch the power on, stand there for another 20 seconds, then switch off the standby before we play.
Should i talk to our worship leader and see if theres some way i could go up a few seconds early to turn on my amp, or is the lifespan of my tubes really going to be affected that much in standby mode?

Tube amps are designed to be played for long sets multiple nights a week. You are actually being very thoughtful, kind and polite to your amp. You could actually rough it up a lot more and still have miles to go before you cause any uncommon wear. Part of the beauty of a standby switch is that you can do exactly what you are doing. Rock on.

That's exactly what the standby switch is there for.

Actually it might be easier on your amp if you just leave the amp on (not switch it on standby) and turn down the volume.

+3. On standby the amp runs higher internal voltages.

Any way to get the pastor to shorten his sermons?
But seriously, think of all the times you went to a show an hour early to get a good seat and the stage is full of powered up amps and they stay that way through intermission, the mandatory standing o and the encore.
