Here are the details..

Standel 4 x 10" Combo amp from 1966
Model 520RA
70 Watts, Solid State with 4 10" Utah Speakers that were made in 1966.
It has 2 Channels with one 'Normal' and one with Tremolo and Reverb.

thanks fezz!

They are asking $300....
Are these amps special in any kind of tonal way? Wasn't this the amp that Buck Owens was using for awhile???

Seems like alot of amp for $200-$250....
Thanks!

These are/were a favorite amongst old time jazz players. Their clean tone is what the jazzers like. This was a prestigious amp among within that group. Whether or not it still is, I don't know. I think it's pretty cool. If you play old country stuff, swing, jazz, this might be a terrific amp.

Run that amp by a jazz guitar site and you might spark a lot of interest.

Cool Amp Nice thing is it was made before 71 when Standel got some bad encapsulated modules and they pretty much ruined his business. According to the Standel Web page his SS amps sounded great. If I had the money on hand and wanted one I would go for it. Really looks clean and well taken care of and with a cover.

Wes Montgomery played a SS Standel, a 1965 Super Custom XV: 70 watts RMS and a 15" JBL speaker:

I have a '66 Custom artist XII

LOVE IT. Great sounding amp.
Standel is still around, and are a joy to deal with in my experience...they will send you the schematics for the modules should you need them

I'd say go for it, if it's anything like mine you won't be sorry

Nice they still have the old schematics ect. Even back then I never seen many Standels I think I only seen one back in the late 60's. I bought one head back a few years ago at a rummage sale paid 5 bucks for it. I sold it off when I sold some gear for a financial crisis back in 2002. I wish now I would have kept it I did not get much 50 bucks and I was spooked about the modules I did not know back then Standel was back in business.
