57 Champ

Hello all. I am pulling the trigger on a 57 Champ in the next week or so and wash have been trying to find out if it has the ability to connect to an extension cabinet. Does anyone have the answer? I know my Blues Junior NOS does, and I may get a Hot Rod Deluxe 112 for that. Thanks everyone.
Richard

I had a speaker cord made with a 1/4" plug on one end and an RCA on the other end.

Works really well. Just make sure you plug into a 4ohm cab.

Sorry to change topic... are you buying the amp new? If so, have you considered the EC Vibro Champ? It's the same price and has tremolo and a 1 watt option.

I thought about that, but I understand that the Champ has a better tone. I don't care for a tremolo. Thanks though

Contact Muchxs here on TDPRI. He'll build you a tweed champ from scratch with a solid wood cab for half as much.

It looks like to use an extension cab one unplugs the internal speaker, then just plug into the ext. cab. Remember the cab needs to be 4 ohms.

Some pix in this thread about 1/2 way down the page to see where it plugs in.

Google muchxs champ and you will know what we're talking about. I'm hoping mine shows up on the dock at work sometime maybe next week. Really stoked about it!! He's gonna put a 6x9 in mine.

He says he likes them because they sound like "little pissed off marshals".

I'm sure you will be very happy with it, Alnicopu. I really liked mine from the getgo, but the longer I've owned it, the more I appreciate the tones in that little beast and the high level of quality and craftsmanship. That's why I frequently chime in on threads like this.

I got my Muchxs Champ 2 weeks ago. 12 inch speaker. It is absolutely awesome in all respects. Build quality, fit and finish are excellent. The sound can't be believed. Tone, tone, tone and more tone. Even my wife now understands.
