which rectifier tube to pull????

Fender Europe's Review of the '57 Twin gives a mod, removing a rectifier tube...but I'm not sure which one to remove. in the line up, there's the 2-5U4's..then the 2-6l6's, then the 4-12AX7's...

So would I pull the first 5U4, or the next one, right beside it.

"The Twin®'s dynamic response can be “softened” a bit by pulling one of the rectifier tubes. With less voltage in the circuit, the feel becomes saggier and the distortion thicker at any given volume setting."

Never had a tube amp before.
haha Thanks everyone

Well, I did it. Pulled the first 5U4, plugged it back in, fired it up, and got more distortion at a lower level.

These tubes are run in parallel, and because of that - share the current load.

Would wonder how long a single rect would survive in this application.
