Lawdy Mama, I done gone tweed!

Seriously though, pulled the "deposit" trigger on a Victoria tweed Super. But not just any Victoria tweed Super, a limited run V-front Super. According to Mark Baier only about 10 or so were made.

I've been a BF Fender guy for a long time and I was looking into The Tone King Meteor and was so sure that was going to be "the amp" for me. I've always has a thing for tweed V-fronts. I just think they're cool looking. Anyway, played the Vicky and the Tone King side by side and the Vicky just seemed so much more open sounding. Really impressed me. Now all I have to do is pay it off. After that, I'm done. I swear.

I'm with you........

After years of playing Fender Blackface (an many other various amp-of-the-month) I have finally decided that the tone I hear in my head is a cathode biased, tube rectified tweed amp.

I have a Clark Beaufort (Deluxe), a Clark Lil Bit (Champ) and on order a Wateree (Tremolux) with a 15" which should be done in a couple of weeks. I also own a '58 Fender Tremolux that I will sell if the Wateree is at least as good.

I will be selling a 65 Deluxe Reverb, a 67 Super Reverb and a Dr Z Maz 18 Jr. Maybe even the Carr Rambler IF the Wateree can replace it.

Good luck with the new amp!

James
